The Choir „Liederkranz“ in the small German city  Nieder-Olm, not far from Mainz, organized a concert tour in May 2019, shortly before the European elections: in the Orthodox Academy of Crete in the west of the island, the members initiated a friendship concert with a Cretan choir. Especially today where the idea of a united Europe is less important for many people than in the decades before, such reunions have a particular importance. They prove that across borders there is much more that unites people than divides them.
